West Brom manager Tony Pulis has admitted that striker Saido Berahino could leave the club before the end of the January transfer window amidst interest from Liverpool. It is believed that the Merseyside outfit are ready to cut their losses on Mario Balotelli and bring inBerahino.
The England U21 international has been in fine form this season and his nine goals is significantly better than Balotelli, who is yet to open his league tally for the season.Berahino is reportedly valued in excess of £ 25 million by West Brom and Pulis has said that the club will sell him only if they receive an unbelievable offer.

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson says that he expects his former club to finally sell defender Glen Johnson during the January transfer window. The former Chelsea right back was brought to Liverpool in 2009 for £ 16 million from Portsmouth. He has been a major hit at Anfield after being first-team regular from the start. Johnson has not had much competition in his position, but this has finally changed after the arrival of Javi Manquillo in the summer. The Atletico Madrid player may have joined only a loan deal, but Liverpool have the option to buy him on a permanent basis in the summer.
Looking at the performances of the young Spaniard, it is looking highly likely that Liverpool will not think twice about parting with the £ 6 million transfer fee thought to be demanded by Atletico.
Johnson is on the wrong side of 30 and his performances in recent months have not inspired a lot of confidence in the team. A succession of injury problems coupled with poor form have seen Johnson lose his first-team spot to the likes of Javi Manquillo. Lawrenson also says that manager Brendan Rodgers does have enough options in the youth academy with the likes of Jon Flanagan pushing for a starting spot.
“Roy Hodgson effectively called time on Glen Johnson’s England career last week. And I wouldn’t be surprised if the right-back finds himself heading elsewhere in the New Year. Having not yet been given a new contract, it’s clear Johnson is not part of Liverpool’s long-term plans, with Javi Manquillo and, when fit, Jon Flanagan vying for the right-back slot.
Johnson can walk away from Anfield for nothing in the summer. So I’d expect the Reds to look to cash in on him in January,” said Lawrenson. Johnson’s contract expires in the summer and there have been no new talks.

The relationship between Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers and England’s Roy Hodgson has not been the best after Rodgers critiqued Hodgson after Daniel Sturridge sustained a thigh strain during a training session for England and Sturridge is expected to be out of action for around 4 weeks.
It looks like now is the turn of Roy Hodgson to critique and put into blast the training methods of Brendan Rodgers as the coach of England is not in favor of the 2 day recovery period that Rodgers utilizes with his players of Liverpool.
On October 12, England played their 2016 Euro’s qualifying match against Estonia which concluded with the English team coming out with the victory but the player of Liverpool, Raheem Sterling asked if he could be left out of the squad and miss this match due to him being tired.
Raheem Sterling was featured in the match but only played for a few minutes in the 2nd half as he entered the pitch as a substitute player and now Roy Hodgson has started to put into question if the training mechanism of Brendan Rodgers is the appropriate one.
“Raheem might say it is something that is becoming ingrained in him and that he felt the need to talk about being tired more than he would normally do. But we have never had any problems with that. I don’t think there is a lot of medical evidence to support the ‘two day recovery’. So if you want to, you might want to research that one. Sterling told me: ‘I’m feeling tired, I’d rather sit this one out’’ England’s Roy Hodgson said.
There has recently been a number of players not only in England but in other countries that have been picking up injuries on a more consistent basis but this is due to the high amount of matches that certain players lately have had to perform.
