@AdamInge shut up mate, i think its you who knows nothink, ive got alot of respect for this fellow Kopite. and what you said about the Hillsborough was sick and twisted you horrible runt.
We fans cannot take for granted that Hicks will lose the court case and LFC are sold to NESV. My argument is if he appointed MB to be chairman and gave him all the powers, then he had every right to remove it, don’t you think?
Also we cannot expect miracles to happen overnight in the event the sale is successful, LFC will need time to convalesce. We must be realistic here, LFC recovery with new owners will take time.
How come David Moores never gets any blame for this? It didn’t take a genius to work out that as Man Utd increased their capacity Liverpool would be unable to compete, if the club had been run properly, Liverpool would had a new 60k+ stadium over a decade ago, instead they simply crammed a few more seats into Anfield, if Liverpool had been run properly it would never of needed to sell and would be in a much better position to compete with Arsenal, Man Utd, etc.
@DsmB2007 I understand and to be honest when they bought the Red Sox I had huge doubts about them, but they’ve come through and obviously have had major success in Boston. I think the keys to their successes in owning franchises (in MLB and NASCAR) is that they handle the business end of things and allow the best minds of the field to take care of personnel and strategy (see Theo Epstein and Jack Roush), hopefully they find a football mind to bring the Reds back around to their winning ways.
@boywonderecu I understand your point. I’m actually a Revs fan and Inter fan. I’m just very leery of Financial people who have a love for another game, suddenly think they can come in and show L’Pool how to be successful. Football isn’t anything like baseball. His love since he was a kid was baseball. Or actually, his first love was crunching numbers. If that’s what he’ll do when he gets to L’Pool he’ll have no idea what’s going on. All the best…
@DsmB2007 I guess we’ll just see what they actually do. All I’m going on is what they have done, which is allow for top minds of the sport to make decisions (Theo Epstein for the Red Sox and Jack Roush for their NASCAR team). You can be hesitant all you like, and every Liverpool fan has a right to be, but I know NESV and I’ve seen what they did with the Red Sox…any group that helps break “The Curse of the Bambino” can handle Liverpool’s issues.
@boywonderecu Sorry, but we can agree to disagree. I don’t believe any Billionaire Financial guy who is a lifelong baseball fan could ever be a good Football owner. IN MY OPINION, he’ll only use Liverpool as a Tax write off.
The fans of Liverpool should be very weary of any Non-Football fans who come in and “desire” to bring glory to L’Pool..!!
IN MY OPINION this is as bad as the Hicks Gillet debacle. Henry is just smarter about it..and will give tons of lip service!
Being from NY, I absolutely hate the Red Sox and love Liverpool!! but let me tell you something though, The Sox are not in this to watch liverpool die and loss a ton of money. They will turn this team around and get them back to winning!! Hope its not to late though. Go NY Mets and Liverpool!!! YWNA!!!!!
@DsmB2007 In this debate the debt is not the issue, you assume that NESV is going to just hold LFC up to fund the Red Sox just like you assume they do with Roush-Fenway Racing (which is just plain wrong by the way). NESV is in the business of WINNING they do it with the Red Sox, they do it in NASCAR, and they’ll do it with LFC.
These guys didn’t buy LFC to just watch it go down the drain, they bought it to build it up and win.

Burn both New York Yankees caps and be a good sport and start wearing red socks every day. Red Sox Nation! Roush Fenway Racing! Liverpool FC!
